And I hear you re: the length, but for better or worse we've got to intersperse some shorter (read: more eye-catching) essays in with our longer investigations to continue bringing new readers to PPC. All our content is free + unpaywalled, so pledging or even just restacking + sharing with other interested readers helps bring new people in and give us space to focus on longer essays!
